Councilwoman Althea Graves represents Ward 12 which includes the neighborhoods of Smith Hill, portions of Valley, and Capital Center. Graves is a retired educator, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She began her work as a community activist in Providence in the early 1970s. She currently serves on the Committee on City Property, Committee on Urban Redevelopment Renewal and Planning, and the Special Committee on State Legislative Affairs.
