Councilwoman Shelley Peterson represents Ward 14 which includes the neighborhoods of Elmhurst and Wanskuck. She currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Ordinances and the Committee on Ward Boundaries. Peterson is also a member of the Committee on City Property, the Committee on Claims and Pending Suits, Special Committee on Health, Opportunity, Prosperity, and Education (HOPE), the Housing Crisis Task Force, and the Committee on State Legislative Affairs. Peterson has worked in the non-profit industry for more than 20 years and is a small business owner.
