2026 Providence City Council Budget Calendar

On April 15, 2026, the Providence City Council began its review of the Mayor’s proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget. Over the coming weeks, councilors will evaluate and, if needed, revise the proposal to address the city’s financial priorities and maintain essential services.

The following is a schedule of committee meetings where budget items such as parks, recreation, public safety, and public schools will be discussed. All committee meetings will be held in Room 305 on the third floor of City Hall and are livestreamed on the Council’s YouTube channel. Schedule is subject to change.

Public Hearings

All public hearings will be held in the City Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall.

  • The first public hearing on the mayor’s proposed budget will be held on Monday, May 4th, at 5:30 p.m.
  • A second public hearing will be held on the revised budget. When finalized, the time and date for the second hearing will be added to the calendar.
