Providence, RI – Providence City Councilor Justin Roias announces the successful allocation of $155,975 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to support the DaVinci Center’s crucial capital improvement plan, specifically for replacing an aging roof. The DaVinci Center, a cornerstone of Providence’s North End neighborhood, has been serving the needs of residents for over 50 years, and this funding will contribute to ensuring a safe and sustainable space for their essential programs.
“As the longest-standing community center in the North End, the DaVinci Center plays an integral role in fostering a sense of belonging and support for our residents. I am proud to announce the allocation of ARPA funding to aid in replacing the DaVinci Center’s roof,” said Councilor Justin Roias (Ward 4). “This investment is not just about infrastructure; it is about sustaining the heart of our community and ensuring that the DaVinci Center can continue its vital mission to serve our most vulnerable neighbors across the North End.”
