Save the Date: PVDFest 2022!

WELCOME!

We are so happy to have another chance to be together and we hope you will meet us outside for the #comeback in 2022.

PVDFest is a LOCAL arts festival that needs to reflect the culture of the Providence metropolitan area. We want your creative expression, your traditional cultural group, your dance company, your comedy troupe — whatever craft it is that makes your audience light up! We want to work with you to bring your energy to PVDFest this June. From large cultural groups to solo buskers, and everything in between, we are looking for performers who want to push the envelope and invade, transform, and bring life to downtown public spaces in unusual ways.

In 2022, PVDFest will reinvigorate and rebuild Providence’s world-renowned art and culture community and showcase the Creative Capital. We invite you to meet us outside and join us!

This year the PVDFest footprint will again come to life on Washington Street to Weybosset Street and from Empire Street to Exchange Street and on every street in between. As the creative capital, the job of PVDFest is to give artists at all stages of their careers who consider Providence their center of gravity a platform to be welcomed back to public spaces, and to welcome audiences of all people to enjoy and feel safe.

In 2021, we brought Providence more than 100 performances and activities to all neighborhoods throughout the summer and fall!

MEET US OUTSIDE FOR THE COMEBACK!

#comeback!

Dear neighbor –

Since 2015, PVDFest has brought people from all corners of the globe together for a transformational art experience. Throughout the past two years, we have curated over 100 smaller, in-person or virtual celebrations to support our local artists and bring PVDFest magic to our neighborhoods.

In particular, we’ve learned a lot over the past few months from partners like Waterfire, who recently hosted large-scale outdoor gatherings while keeping safety a top priority. Now, we are ready to bring magic to the streets of downtown Providence once again.

Artists and performers from around the corner and around the globe will reinvigorate and rebuild Providence’s world-renowned art and culture community and showcase the Creative Capital. The three days of PVDFest programming will once again culminate on Saturday, June 11 with live music, dance, food, and visual art installations that will transform downtown Providence.

Sincerely, PVDFest Team.
