Ready to answer the call if there's an emergency in your community?

Providence, RI Emergency Management Agency - PEMA is now offering free training in basic disaster preparedness and response.

PEMA volunteers receive training and certification in everything from first aid and CPR to light search and rescue, radio operations, crowd management, shelter operations, fire safety, and control, weather spotting, Emergency Operations Center activation, and medical and commodity distribution.

Volunteers assist PEMA and other municipal departments with staff and equipment support for emergency response, large city-wide events, and community preparedness outreach.
