Justin Roias represents the North end of Providence, consisting of the Charles and Wanskuck neighborhoods. Roias has proudly called the North End home for almost his entire life and currently resides there with his wife and daughter. He was born in Providence and is a proud graduate of Providence Public Schools, namely Hope High School.
Roias holds a Bachelor of Arts and master’s degree in social work from Rhode Island College. Professionally, he has a background in public policy, education, and mental health. He served as Rhode Island’s state director of Wolf PAC, an American non-partisan political action committee formed in 2011 with the goal of ending corporate personhood and publicly financing all elections across the country. As State Director, Roias played a key role in helping Rhode Island make history by becoming the fifth state to pass legislation calling for an Article V Convention to propose an amendment to the Constitution that would end the corrupting influence of money in politics.
He has served in various educational roles at local nonprofits like City Year and The College Crusade, helping students from Providence to overcome barriers to high school graduation and college enrollment.
Today, Roias serves as a school social worker and licensed mental health counselor, who has the honor and privilege of supporting the mental health of children and families across Rhode Island.
