Councilman Correia serves as Chairman of the Committee on Public Works, Vice-Chairman of the Committee on City Property, Vice-Chairman on the Committee of Claims and Pending Suits, and is a member of the Providence Water Supply Board.
Throughout his tenure, Councilman Correia has worked diligently to make city neighborhoods safer. Councilman Correia is very involved with the community in his ward. He has initiated a number of neighborhood beautification projects, including repairing and re-dedicating Manton Gateway Park and planting more than 100 trees along Atwells, Chalkstone, and Manton Avenues. He has also planned the Ward Six Community Picnic, and the Annual Toy Gun Bash, an event where children trade in toy guns to receive a gift that reflects a more peaceful way to play and have fun.
